Caddie

The round's scorecard, on everyone's phone at once.

An app for golf rounds among friends: live scoring, hole-by-hole handicaps and the group's bets calculated instantly.

Case study

The challenge and how we solved it.

The challenge

In rounds among friends the scorecard is kept in pencil and the bets are settled at the end in a spreadsheet. Allocating handicap strokes, hole and segment matches, the snake or the cart bet is slow and leads to arguments on the 18th hole.

The solution

An installable web app where one player creates the round and the others join by scanning a QR code, with or without an account. What each player scores, everyone sees instantly. A rules engine modeled on the group's own spreadsheet, covered by tests and a parity check against a real round, allocates strokes and settles bets. Scores can be entered offline, and AI reads a course scorecard from a photo.
